| FTL Company has been established for nearly 20 years.It is a Sino Japanese joint venture,But the management are mostly from the former state-owned enterprises,which affected by the traditional planned economy system and the "bureaucracy" thought.The most production management was outdated,which led to low efficiency,low quality,long delivery,high complaints and high cost.The competitive power of FTL in the domestic market has been becoming weak.The domestic market competition on shock absorber production is very fierce.There are more than 10 famous world-class shock absorber companies in China,dozens of well-known domestic private damper companies and hundreds of small domestic damper companies.With a slowdown in automobile demand and the improved requirements of automobile maker,it is becoming very necessary to improve market share,shorten the delivery period and reduce the cost for an automobile maker.All of the heavy burden will fall on these damper makers inevitably.In the fierce competitive environment,the only way for FTL is to be capable to provide good quality,fast delivery,low cost,improve customer satisfaction.Improve production efficiency is crucial.Therefore,it is necessary to study the problems of current problem in FTL,like as low efficiency and high cost,and under-developed management.Fist this paper gives a detailed introduction to the current production management status of FTL Company,then makes a thorough analysis of the current problems and conducts a comprehensive investigation in management process,finally introduces the TPS(TOYOTA production system).Lean production is the essence of TPS,which has become a global manufacturing industry standard.TPS has rationality and efficiency in production and can adapt to some flexibly production and management technology of various needs.Its basic principles and methods have played a positive role on the manufacturing industry.It also is very important to the company current situation and production management.Firstly FTL must be setup some lean production goals,and then establish a lean production team,and using the five kinds of TPS tools,such as lean process,5S,eliminate 7 kinds of waste,TPM,pull production system etc.A plan is necessary to put forward the improvement which is consistent with the current situation.Finally the improved scheme is evaluated in quality,delivery and cost for ensuring the effective improvement as we expected. |
