| Medical industry is a strategic emerging industry reputed as “everlasting sunrise industry” that sees the fastest growth in 15 international industries at an international standard.It matters vital to national wellbeing,people's livelihood,and health and life safety.Characterized by high correlation,wide coverage and long industrial chain,medical industry has caught wide attention,and is developed vigorously and competed fiercely.Since the reform and opening-up,medical industry in China has stepped into a rapid pace,witnessing a sustained rising position in national economy and showing a positive progress momentum as a whole.Currently,this industry is at a crucial stage for its structure transition and upgrading.The fleet advancement and intense competition pattern in global medical industry is both an unprecedented opportunity,and a severe challenge as well for China.Zaozhuang City is the only one in the east among 44 resource-exhausted cities nationwide confirmed by the State Council,and is listed as the transformation focus of old Chinese industrial city.In regard to medical industry scale and strength,Zaozhuang is far behind the surrounding cities,ranking low-level of 17 cities.Yet,due to the solid basis,medical industry once became one of the eight pillar industries in Zaozhuang during 1980s-90 s.In recent years,Zaozhuang has ushered a favorable medical industry tendency that key enterprises have gradually driven the small-and medium-sized growing enterprises forward,products are in variety of forms and cooperation is increasing between medical enterprises.However,there are still some problems,including the small scale overall;industrial eliminating or upgrading situation in small and medium-sized enterprises with backward product line;weak development of medical equipment industry;insufficient medical equipment enterprises(only one large enterprise);low-level products;industrial absence of high value-added products like biological pharmaceutical formulation;incomplete medical industry chain;lack of perfect talent introduction system and weak enterprise competitiveness.In addition,medical industry in Zaozhuang is impeded partially attributed to inadequate communication between medical enterprise and supporting institutions,weak independent innovation ability,fewer advantageous products,diluted and weakened limited resources and lower resource integration.Thus,in this paper the advantages,opportunities and measures are explored for Zaozhuang to develop its medical industry,given that the provincial medical industry is facing a big chance for development and a huge challenge of eliminating backward capacity and upgrading traditional medical industry.Based on a macro environment of medical industry at home and abroad,the paper intends to understand the current status of this industry,summarize development characteristics and problems and delve into its restrictive factors through literature analysis,comparative analysis and field survey on Zaozhuang.With theories of industrial agglomeration and industrial chain,and SWOT analysis method,opportunities and challenges to develop medical industry are analyzed from its advantages and disadvantages.Then,referring to successful experience and thoughts on model cities,the research is to explore development plan of medical industry for Zaozhuang by taking industrial agglomeration effect as the breakthrough point;choose suitable strategy to meet the actual demand;formulate the overall objective,short,medium and long-term plan and put forward specific measures and suggestions for Zaozhuang's medical industry. |
