Research On The Evaluation Index System Of Technology Progress In Express Industry

The rapid development of information technology breeds out enormous scientific and technological productivity, and brings a new atmosphere for service industry. As an important part of the modern service industry, express delivery industry presents the explosive growth driven by e-commerce. With the development and application of a new generation in Internet technology, consumer demands tend to be diversified and personalized, and a series of new economic growth points have been promoted constantly. Therefore, scientific and technological progress will become the leading source of business development and industrial revolution, so that an immeasurable and profound impact has been brought on express industry. Science and technology progress in express industry not only benefits to enhance service capacity and service quality, but also changes the service and business model, which causes the change of production tools and means of production to become a significant symbol modernization level and development direction.Thus, it is very necessary to carry on the empirical research of the progress of science and technology in express industry. This paper attempts to make analysis from a new perspective, which means to analyze the factors on the change of express companies to achieve the progress of science and technology, and provide the basis and reference for the index system in future upgrading and improvements. Moreover, the feasible advices for the management of science and technology drive the transitional development to the optimal practice for express companies.This paper is divided into three parts: the first one is the construction of evaluation index system. Based on the development status of science and technology progress, it summarizes the foreign and domestic market situation and development characteristics of express delivery companies.From the aspects of technical power, benefit, industry cooperation and environmental protection to describe the influence factors. By reading the relevant literature and reference to the standards of Ministry of Science and Technology, establish index system which is applicable to the express delivery industry. The second one is to calculate the index system. Collect annual report data of four transnational express companies, and make calculation of the index weight by using variation coefficient method and entropy method. Next, carry on the horizontal, the vertical and the comprehensive comparison to obtains the result analysis. The third one is to promote development recommendations for scientific and technological progress in the express delivery industry. According to the calculation results, the proposals will make contribution to government supervision and enterprise development.
