China Manufacturing's Competitiveness In Industry 4.0 Times

Manufacturing reflects the level of productivity in a country and plays an important role in national economy.After experiencing"de-industrialization",developed countries suffered a lot in the financial crisis and then began to realize the significance of the real economy and introduce relevant manufacturing policies.Just like Industrial Internet in the United States,Germany puts forward the "Industry 4.0" in 2013,which indicates that intelligent manufacturing based on equipment interconnection is the development trend in the future.Production will shift from scale manufacturing to flexible manufacturing which is based on consumers' demand.This paper mainly analyzes that the advantages and disadvantages of China,s manufacturing in the background of such an era,how to seize opportunities,meet challenges,vigorously promote integration between manufacturing and information,hugely improve the competitiveness of manufacturing and catch up with the advanced countries.As to the status analysis,the competitive advantages of our country mainly reflect in the total scale of manufacturing.However,a wide range of problems such as rising labor costs,low labor productivity,low additional value and content in technology have been highlighted with the disappearance of the demographic dividend.According to the analysis of the international competitiveness,our competitive industries are textile and garment,shoes,hats manufacturing and cultural and educational sporting goods manufacturing which both belong to low technology manufacturing.High technology industry is lack of competitiveness.The overall competitiveness of manufacturing is also not strong.High-tech exports are used to measure the influence of manufacturing policy in developed countries in this paper.After empirical analysis,we find that the policy responses differently to the textile manufacturing,processing.manufacturing and advanced manufacturing.There is no effect on the total manufacturing and textile manufacturing.The policy improves competitiveness of processing manufacturing industry,while it decreases competitiveness of advanced manufacturing.This paper proposes 3 kinds of countermeasures based on the status analysis and empirical analysis.They are strengthening industry system,reinforcing technology innovation and extensively applying information technology.
