Pork Supply Chain Sustainability Evaluation Research

As traditional pork production and consumption country,pork occupies an important position in residents' meat consumption,and the industry has become the main way to increase the income of farmers.But recently residents still lack of confidence for the food safety of pork,leading to pork consumption market being not optimistic.Added to the effect of the pig cycle,the enthusiasm of farmers have reduced.The complexity of the pork circulation especially put forward higher request for all the stakeholders of pork supply chain.Such problems as environmental capacity constraints,increased imports are all the important factors which restrict the sustainable development of China's pork supply chain.At the same time the pork industry also exists many opportunities,including the industry technology innovation and promotion,the introduction and development of advanced equipment,the diversification of marketing channels,the enhancement of talent reserve strength as well as consumers' strong demand for high quality pork,etc.Facing the challenge and opportunity of the industry,various stakeholders in the pork supply chain how to coordinated develop by way of effective administration to breakthrough developmental bottleneck of the industry,to realize the sustainable development of pork industry supply chain,which become a new topic.This article could divide the sustainability of pork supply chain into three dimensions-economy,environment and society,namely having sustained profitability in the economic dimension,in the environmental dimension to protect resources,improve efficiency,reduce pollution,in the social dimension to establish and maintain good social capital,promote the society to develop steadily.Among them,economic sustainability is the core,environmental sustainability is the foundation and social sustainability is the goal.The three dimensions form an interconnected and inseparable organic whole.We should coordinate and unify the three dimension and understand it from the long-term and dynamic angle to realize the sustainable development of pork supply chain.Based on the supply chain theory and the theory of sustainable development,the author preliminarily establish the sustainability of pork supply chain evaluation index system as the basic framework,and use the analysis method of combining the paired comparison method and entropy weight method to evaluate.Because Guiyang development environment is good,growth potential is big,so Guiyang area is chosen as an example.This paper analyzes the pork supply of Guiyang from breeding to consumption,and also evaluate the sustainability of its economic,environmental,and social dimensions by using the established model.Through investigation and study of Guiyang's pork supply chain,this paper propounds suggestions about the sustainable development of Guiyang city pork supply chain.
