Study On Pesticide Application Behavior And Influencing Factors Of Vegetable Farmers

Vegetables are one of the primary agricultural products containing a large number of essential vitamins,minerals,dietary fiber and other nutrients.And vegetables are one of the most frequently consumed edible agricultural products in daily life in China.With the improvement of the income level of residents,as well as changes in eating habits,consumers pay more and more attention to food nutrition and quality and safety.However,based on the quality and safety of China's agricultural production safety monitoring data in 2015,the pass-rate of vegetable(96.1%)is lower than the total pass-rate(97.1%).At the same time,the individual varieties of vegetable pesticide residues exceeding problem occurs from time to time in some local area,such as asparagus bean and chives pesticide residues exceeded issues in 2010.The safety hazards of pesticide residues exceeded is difficult to detect,and even a greater threat to the lives and health of the residents.Excessive pesticide residues in vegetables are often caused by the unscientific,unreasonable and non-standardized pesticide application behavior.Therefore,the key to improve the problem of pesticide residues in vegetables,is how to restrict the pesticide application behavior of vegetable farmers,so as to reduce or even eliminate the excessive pesticide residues problem in vegetables.Based on information asymmetry theory,government regulation theory and producer behavior theory,this paper discusses the behavior and influence factors of pesticide application of vegetable farmers.The main research contents include:Firstly,based on the literature and data of pesticide residues detection,this paper analyzes the present situation of pesticide residues in vegetable,and evaluates the effect of vegetable quality and safety supervision in recent years;Secondly,according to The Pesticide Safety Using Standard and the relevant documents,vegetable farmers' illegal application performance are summarized,and field survey data are used to descriptively analyze the vegetable growers and pesticide application behavior;Thirdly,based on the cost and benefit theory,the influencing factors of the illegal use of pesticides in vegetable growers were analyzed,and the Logit model was constructed to carry on the empirical test.Main research results of this paper are the following.Firstly,based on the 2009-2015 national agricultural product quality and safety monitoring results,as well as 2009-2014 vegetable pesticide residues detection data analysis,it shows that in recent years,the problem of pesticide residues in vegetables has not been significantly improved.This paper analyzes the reasons for the poor supervision effect,and points out that the key to improve the pesticide residues in vegetables is to strengthen the supervision of pesticide application behavior of vegetable growers.Secondly,the paper summarizes six illegal pesticide application performance.And the survey shows that not considering the last spraying interval when secondary sprays(accounted for 30.03%)and not considering the safety interval(accounted for 33.33%)when harvests are the two main kinds of irregular application behavior of the sample farmers.In addition,11.55%of the sample farmers inappropriately increases the proportion of pesticides,and 1.32%of the sample farmers uses the state banned pesticides.Thirdly,the Logit model analysis shows that farmers grow vegetables experience,family labor quantity,and farmer whether to participate in technical training,the degree of organization,the degree of specialization,scale of planting,planting way,the awareness of government detection and the punishment are the main factors affecting the illegal pesticide applications of vegetable farmers.Based on the research results of this paper,in order to improve vegetable pesticide residues,effectively restraint pesticide application of vegetable farmers,improve the efficiency of government regulation,four suggestions are proposed in this paper:Firstly,strengthen the guidance and propaganda of pesticide application specification.Secondly,increase detection and punishment of vegetable origin.Thirdly,promote the cooperation and the development of vegetable industry.Fourthly,establish vegetable pesticide residue detection database.
