A Study On Rural Tourism Development Problems And Countermeasures Of Wafangdian City

Recently, with the rapid growth in national economy, which also shows a much higher value in GNP, the demand in spiritual and health level calls for an explosive increase. As a result, it gives a great opportunity for rural tourism. Obviously, to develop rural tourism serves several merits. For example, it would increase the income of the farmers, well solve the problem of surplus labor. Consequently, farmers could be richer, and the living environment could also be better. Wafangdian is a city with long historical culture, which is also rich in local products. And the resources of tourism such as coasts, hot-springs, natural forests provide this city with exceptional advantages. At present, the industry of rural tourism and agricultural leisure has been enlarged into a certain scale, however, there still shows a big gap when compared with domestic or international mature developed areas.In this article, by analyzing the current situation of development of rural tourism in Wafangdian city, the problems such as the rural tourism infrastructure construction that does not reach the designated position, low quality of the rural tourism practitioners, the lack of publicity, the operator financing difficulties, rural tourism homogeneity serious problems can be exposed. The reasons causing these problems can be summarized by ideological understanding which does not reach the designated position, the lack of rural tourism related infrastructure investment, lack of the rural tourism operators and practitioners of the training, the lack of effective financing channel, old single management concept and marketing mode. Thus, in this article, through combining the main methods and models in Japan, Canada and Taiwan, Beijing, SWOT analysis of the developing countryside tourism, tourism market analysis and forecast, the plans for development of rural tourism in Wafangdian city can be derived into two parts. One is implement "rural tourism +" industry integration strategy, which promotes the tourism with the culture, agriculture, health, and sports fields to fuse comprehensively; The other is formulated the specific one-day or two-day tourist route planning in spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons. Finally, four countermeasures are mentioned for the development of rural tourism in Wafangdian city. Respectively, they are that the government should strengthen the control power, reinforcing the supervision of the rural tourism market, optimizing the public service system, and promoting the sustainable development of rural tourism. These suggestions are beneficial in providing reference in decision-making procedure not only for Wafangdian government, but also for other brother-cities to take an example.
