Research On Evaluation Of Industrial Competitiveness In Urumqi

Industrial competitiveness is an important index to measure the level of regional economic development in the current social and economic development.Urumqi as the capital of Xinjiang,is located in the western border of our country,an important center of the city in the development of the western region and the Silk Road Economic Belt strategy,has a unique geographical conditions.The level of industrial competitiveness in Urumqi is closely related to the economic and trade exchanges between China and Urumqi and the trade with China in the middle east.Urumqi is one of the most important city in Northwest China,has a long history and culture.In recent years,the economic development is in the stage of rapid development,and the research on the competitiveness of the industry has a strong practical demand.However,few scholars have done some research on the evaluation of the industrial competitiveness of Urumqi in recent years,therefore,this paper uses the method of shift share analysis to evaluate the level of industrial competitiveness in Urumqi.On this basis,the paper analyzes the main factors that affect the level of Urumqi's industrial competitiveness,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions in order to promote the rapid development of Urumqi industry.This paper firstly introduces the research background and research significance,literature review from the domestic and foreign research on the theory of industrial competitiveness and the competitiveness of Xinjiang area industry related research of these parts,and briefly describes the research methods,and make the relevant interpretation of the connotation of the concept of industry competitiveness,and related theoretical basis.Then the paper elaborates the basic conditions of Urumqi's industrial development from four aspects of resources and environment,location and transportation,social economy and policy,and introduces the current situation of Urumqi industry development by using the Yearbook data.After that,we use the shift share analysis method to make an empirical analysis of the competitiveness of Urumqi in the five cities in Northwest China in three periods.The results show that Urumqi has a "321" false industrial structure,although the contribution of the three industries is large,it's mainly the low end of the service industry,due to many industrial structure problems.Compared with the five northwestern city,the first industry has no structural advantage and no competitive advantage;the second industry gradually lost its structure dominant position,because of environmental problems in the exploitation of natural resources of low-end caused extensive development and existing problems of industrial structure has seriously restricted the industrial competitiveness level;third industry policies and the impact on the special location of industrial competitive advantage is obvious,but the internal structure of industry needs further optimization,in order to ensure the industrial competitiveness level has been at a high position.In the following content,according to the relevant theory of industrial competitiveness from the aspects of basic transportation,natural environment,talent and technology,industrial structure and the role of government with the factors that affect the industry competitiveness of Urumqi.At the end of the article,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures according to the problems in Urumqi.
