Gansu Province is not an economically fast-progressing province.To improve the living standard of local dwellers,construct a well-off society and counter the structural problem between rural and central areas,developing this kind of agriculture appears to be a basic objective.Up to date,the development the distinctive agriculture of Gansu province obtains obvious achievement: the formation of distinctive regional layout,the gradual increase of production scale,the improvement of production level.Based on present developmental situation,the economic increasing model of traditional agriculture in Gansu Province does not achieve comprehensive accomplishments,with little improvement of quality and efficiency,no significant shift of small-scale production model.So,the development of modern agriculture in Gansu Province need according to the current development status,to protect the environment as the premise,in order to build the recycling economy demonstration areas as the main target,focusing the long-term and sustainable development,to build a modern characteristic agriculture as a breakthrough and strategic focus and optimal space layout,perfect production system,to explore the practical and effective modern characteristic agriculture development model.In terms of the above-mentioned facts,the paper to modern ecological studies from the perspective of the characteristics of Gansu Province agricultural development as the key to the development trend of global agricultural scale,specialization,characteristic,ecological as the background,to regional theory of characteristic agriculture,agricultural modernization theory,circular economy theory,ecological economics theory as the main basis.By drawing on the research results of domestic and foreign experts and scholars,theoretical analysis and empirical development of Gansu Province with science to explore the establishment of a set of easy operating area characteristic agriculture development path,the hope that through system innovation and improvement,to promote Gansu area characteristic agriculture sustainable and large-scale of development.
