In the period of rapid development of high-tech,innovation is the key factors for enterprise to occupy the leading position in the industry.As the complexity of innovation process and the uncertainty of innovation results is increasing,enterprises transferred their attention to the external market to improve their core competitiveness and adapt to the rapid changes in the market environment.Because of the complexity of the innovation environment and the diversity of information,enterprises in the same value chain integrated the related technologies.As a result,enterprises diffused technologies in the same innovation system,and soon formed the technical groups.Enterprises can share the knowledge and access to complementary innovative resources through the technology groups and they can learn advanced technologies and improve adaptability.The technical groups are the norm in the process of industrial development,and the impact of technology groups on the innovation diffusion is an important subject for theoretical research and industrial practice.The existing research on the innovation diffusion is mostly based on the innovation network,and discusses the influence factors of the innovation diffusion from the structural characteristics of the innovation network.Under this background,this paper introduces the technology groups into the framework of network structure of innovation diffusion,and discusses the impact of technology group and network structure embedding on innovation diffusion.This paper elaborates the study viewpoints and builds the relationship model between the technology groups and the diffusion of innovation.Our analysis is based on the network of parent citation panel data from smart phone industry over the period 2004-2014,using UCINET 6.0 network analysis software and SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis software to deal with the patent data.The purpose of this paper is to verify the hypothetical relationship between the research models,and to explore the effect of technology grouping on the innovation diffusion.Based on the empirical test our results suggest that:(1)Technology grouping is normal and dynamic evolution of technology grouping is an important driving force for the development of industrial technology.(2)Technology grouping does not directly impact on innovation diffusion,but the effect of structural embeddedness on innovation diffusion is significant.Network centrality and network connectivity are positive impact on the innovation diffusion.(3)Cohesiveness and bridging ties positively moderate the relationship between structural embeddedness and innovation diffusion.This paper focuses on the technology grouping in the process of industry development,discusses the mechanism among the network structure of technology groups,the structure embeddedness of technology subject and the innovation diffusion of technology subject.This study helps technology subject to form the harmonious relation through balancing complementary and competition,which can enhance the level of innovation diffusion.
