The Study On The Organizing Management Of The Project Of Quanzhou Festival Lantern Exhibition

Quanzhou,founded 1750 years ago,has a lot of cultural heritage and is multicultural.Traditional culture is her brand.Quanzhou lantern has a history for over 1000 years,and it symbolizes the wisdom and intelligence of generations.It is an extremely valuable cultural heritage and was on the first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in the year of 2006.The origin of enjoying festival lantern in Quanzhou can date back to the Tang Dynasty.Since Chinese economic reform,city government has held large-scale festival lantern exhibition for nearly 20 times.Now,the number of lanterns and visitors has increased year by year,which is the challenge for the exhibition and its organizing management.A festival lantern exhibition can be regarded as a project.Based on the basic theory of project management(Public utilities project,life cycle of culture industry project and the theory of WBS),the focuses of this thesis are: whether the organizing management of the exhibition is proper,effective and efficient;whether the exhibition turns out well as expected;whether the lantern makes contribution to propagating traditional culture after the exhibition.After studing how the organizer did in preparation,organization,management,regulation,controlling and precaution,it can be found that the organizer is experienced and the management is effective.But there are still some aspects which are needed to be improved.This thesis puts forward some measures for improvement.
