Study Of The Food Safety Supervision Of Shunde District,Foshan City

Food safety issues are one of the key factors affecting social stability and economic development.Nowadays,food safety issues are becoming more and severe in mainland China.These issues are real threat to the public health and the stability of the nation.Shunde District,Foshan City locates in the core of the Pearl River Delta,which is famous by its' delicious food.In 2014,Shunde was designated as a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO.Food industry becomes a calling card of Shunde.Food safety matters to the further development of the food industry and the reputation of the city.Chinese government plays the most important role in maintaining the country's food safety of all time.In 2009,in order to make the government works more efficient,super ministry reform is taken in Shunde.And the supervision departments of the food safety in Shunde were deeply reformed in this reformation.Food safety supervision power was concentrated to the new formed department MSS.In the following year,the “Streamlining Governance for Strengthened Township” reform was fully implemented in all the township governments of Shunde.The main power of food safety supervision was devolved to the government of townships'.Few years after the reformation,adjustments were taken to keep up with the changing environment of the food safety.And the department structure is further optimized.To a certain extent,the food safety environment is getting better,but some problems still remain.This article is based on the study of the food safety supervision System of Shunde District,using the research methods of documentary research and participant observation.Through the analysis of the current situation of food safety in Shunde District and the government's regulatory framework,the regulatory functions of distribution,summed up the problems.Compared with the developed countries and areas of experience,put forward some feasible suggestions for the food safety supervision of Shunde District.
