Following the globalization trend and the strategy of “One Belt and One Road”issued by Chinses government,more and more Chinese companies have quickened their pace to actively embrace the global market.The Chinese companies while enjoying the profit from global market,should pay much attention to the existent or potential risks that could negatively influence on their overseas operations.This thesis is targeted to W Company,whichproblem of risk management and across-cultural adaptation in the overseas operationsare studied.Asa construction and manufacturing enterprise,the effect of the risk managementis very essential.A feasible project is proposed by the theories of enterprise risk management andcross-cultural adaptation.First,the background,development status and the problems faced bythe enterprise were introduced.Second,the correlation theories andmethodsinrisk management and cross-cultural adaptation were discussed.Then,the current status of the company's risk management was described and analyzed.The problem impactingonthe overseas operation level was analyzed.Four main current problems in the company includingrisk awareness and management skills,risk identification and response,information and communication,andcultural difference were pointed out.To solve these problems,the improvement project in principle of systematization,elaborationand information was proposed in order to improve risk management effect.The project was based on the risk management and cross-cultural adaptation thoughts.The actual results show that the new projectlives up to the realistic of enterprise management,effectively enhances the performance of risk managementand has a good practical significance in improving the overseas operation situations.Meanwhile,the study is also benefit for the other companies in this industry as well as other Chinese companies that aim to the overseas markets.
