Urban Unemployment In Liupanshui City And Its Countermeasures

This thesis tries to analyse the reasons for and solutions to unemployment in Liupanshui Town by literature review,theoretical analysis and data analysis.The status quo of urban unemployment registration in Liupanshui is sourced from statistical yearbook and citywide statistics.Firstly,according to multiple stepwise regression analysis,the factor influencing the unemployment rate in Liupanshui Town is the investment in non-current assets which is over 0.5 million yuan.Secondly,Delphi expert scoring method is adopted to select from different contributing factors for unemployment and a comprehensive questionnaire is designed to score the filtered results.Then,four highest scored factors determined by YAAHP are analysed in detail.Combined with researches performed both domestically and abroad,causes of unemployment are investigated further.Finally,this thesis suggests five types of countermeasures which are adding spending on employment promotion,accelerating the pace of industrial restructuring and upgrading,strengthening the construction of public employment services,properly resettling employees in enterprises with excess capacity,and precisely organizing vocational technical training,based on theories at home and abroad,the current policies of Liupanshui and other countries along with actions of government intervention with regard to unemployment in China.
