Study On The Current Situation And Development Countermeasures Of Sheep Husbandry In The Western Mountainous Area Of Handan

The western mountainous area of Handan is located in the southern part of Hebei Province.The sheep industry has a lasting history in this area,and affects enormously to the agricultural economy in the mountainous region.So this essay used the systematic analysis,comparative analysis and field method to do the research from the natural geographical factors,social economic factors and policy resources.The survey questionnaire was developed and distributed,focusing on the scale,breeding breeds,breeding patterns and farmers' operation of the sheep industry in the west of Handan.The relevant data were obtained and the conclusions were following.Handan sheep mountain industry in the western region has a long history,it has deep foundation and a unique variety of resources-Wu'an goats;suitable natural conditions,rich herbivorous resources;national attention,all kinds of increasing efforts to support the development of the sheep industry provided good conditionsIn the meantime,the western sheep industry in Handan also has the problems as small scale of breeding,low degree of Intensification;Insufficient number of breeding ewes,seed-breeding system faultiness;single feed mix;improper anti-epidemic measures;poor feeding environment;the processing industry lags behind,the chain of production and marketing is out of line;poor implementation of support policies and other issues.According to the research findings,the following suggestions are made for the future development of sheep industry:vigorously develop meat goats;implement intensive Sheep industry;raise the number of breeding ewes and accelerate the improvement of varieties;improving the daily feed structure and feeding environment;rational use of resources;development ecological breeding;raise the level of slaughter and processing industry.strengthen market docking;implement affirmative policies and establish related service system;pay attention to the construction of relevant organizations in the industry,in order to promote the sustainable and healthy development of sheep industry health in the western mountainous areas of Handan...
