Research On Development Planning Of Industrial Small Towns Under The Background Of New Urbanization

Since China's reform and opening up,boosted by the economy-centered construction policy,the whole nation has witnessed a rapid progress in economic development.Under this circumstance,numerous township industrial parks have been established and become the dominant contributors to the local economy.Hence,appear a variety of industrial-oriented small towns.The fast development of the industry has brought enormous benefits to the national economy.However,alongside the acceleration of new-patterned urbanization,a series of problems beneath the past urban planning began to rise to the surface,which manifests the arrival of the choke-point in the construction of industrial-oriented small towns.Against this background,it is critical to make an overall analysis of the problems behind the traditional urban planning so as to dig out the root of these problems and seek solutions.Under the framework of the new-type industrial-oriented urbanization,the exploration of some innovative approaches in township planning plays a significant role in promoting the construction of industrial-oriented small towns.This paper is to provide an analysis of the problems in traditional township planning with an overview of the overall planning of some industrial-oriented small towns before presenting the influential factors behind these issues.Huangdai,a small industrial-oriented town of Suzhou city,is given as a typical case to illustrate the author's analysis,prediction and suggestions to the planning and construction of the industrial-oriented urbanization project.
