The Influence Of China's Logistics Performance On Its Export Of Mechanical And Electrical Products

Mechanical and electrical products are one of the most important markets in International trade.Sales promotion of mechanical and electrical products is considered as a development strategy for national economy by many countries.In recent years,mechanical and electrical products have become the largest part of export and have a significant impact on foreign trade in China.International logistics and trade are closely related,interact and influence each other.With the Belt and the Road Initiative of China,connecting roads and promoting trades have become important for many countries.As the reflection of convenient transportation and smooth trade,logistics performance has become a key influential factor of the trade development in these countries and regions.Logistics is an integral part of export process;therefore,an analysis from logistics performance perspective may effectively reveal problems and help boosting China's export of mechanical and electrical products.This paper argues the influence of logistics performance on China's export of mechanical and electrical products through a combination of theoretical and empirical methods.Firstly the theoretical quotation of logistics performance's impacts on export;secondly the introduction of current situation and logistics problems of China's mechanical and electrical product exports;thirdly the analysis of causal relationship between logistics performance and export by using Granger causality test;fourthly the verification of effects of influential factors on the export by adopting Grey Correlation Model.Research result shows that logistics performance has a causal relation with export;customs efficiency,logistics infrastructure quality,transportation and warehousing ability and logistics service all have a strong correlation to export;the infrastructure such as telecommunication and network has a great influence on export,and water transportation and port throughput have bigger impact than other factors on export.Finally,some advice and suggestions for improving the export of mechanical and electrical products according to above analyses.
