With the deepening of china's opening to the outside world and the acceleration of world economic globalization,more and more enterprises and organizations view creativity as key to keep competitive advantage.Team is the basic unit for modern enterprise to carry out their work,so creativity of every team directly influences the creative ability of the whole enterprise.This stimulates interests of enterprises in the way to improve team creativity.Previous studies have proved that team climate and team interaction can influence tern creativity,but few of them have recognized the influence of team emotional intelligence.It not only hinders we from having a comprehensive understanding of team creativity but also hinders teams from improving their creativity.In this study,we concern the influence of team emotional intelligence on team creativity and trying to explore the mechanism of action under the background of Chinese cultural.In order to enrich the relevant literatures and to find a new way of improve team creativity of enterprises and organizations.Based on social exchange theory,theoretical research and empirical research have been sequentially carried out.Firstly,we introduced the research results of team emotional intelligence,team creativity,team member exchange and ethical leadership to make a literature review,then putting forward hypotheses and developing the research model.Secondly,we conducted a questionnaire survey in several enterprises and institutions in Hangzhou and Huzhou,including 70 teams and 322 employees questionnaires.Thirdly,we use SPSS and Amos software to analyze our data,including reliability analysis,validity analysis,correlation analysis,hierarchical regression analysis and so on.Through above analyses,we investigated the correlation between team emotional intelligence,team-member exchange and team creativity,and explored the moderation of ethical leadership.The main conclusion are as follows:(1)Both team emotional intelligence on individual-level(including three dimensions:interpersonal understanding,confronting members who break the norms,emotional regulation)and group-level(including two dimensions:attitude with working,organizational understanding)have significant positive effects on team-member exchange and team creativity.This finding proves team emotional intelligence not only can influence reciprocal relationship between team members but also can predict team creativity in the Chinese cultural context.(2)Team-member exchange could mediated the relationship between team emotional intelligence(both individual-level and group-level)and team creativity.This finding proves team emotional intelligence can influence team creativity indirectly through reciprocal relationship between team members in the Chinese cultural context.(3)Ethical leadership could moderated the relationship between team emotional intelligence on group-level and team creativity.This finding proves in the Chinese cultural context,there are differences in the impact of team emotional intelligence on team creativity indirectly through team-member exchange depend on the level of ethical leadership.
