A Measure Of The Multidimensional Poverty In Yunnan Province

In recent ten years,an important breakthrough on the poor understanding,is from a single income poverty to multidimensional poverty at home and abroad.At present,the study of multidimensional poverty was still in the stage of theory gradually improved,the contribution rato settings of multidimensional poverty index are generally and arbitrarily given on the same number,this arbitrary practice was consistently criticized by experts in the field of poverty measurement.The study on how to combine the actual conditions of countries and regions to establish a reasonable index to reflect the dimension of multidimensional poverty and how to establish the poverty contribution coefficient of each dimension is not enough in-depth.Firstly,This thesis establish comprehensive coefficient model on the basis of three dimensions that are health ? education and living standards of MPI multidimensional poverty index developed from UNDP by increasing this medical institutions dimension,Then we can derive the final function of the comprehensive coefficient model by using the factor analysis process of principal component analysis method to extract the first two principal components and carry on the statistical weighting process,selecting time series data of ? Statistical yearbook of Yun'nan province ?and ?Survey yearbookof Yun'nan province?.the Simulation results show that the contribution coefficient of living standard dimension is 0.4454,the contribution coefficient of health is 0.0313,the contributon coefficient of education is0.3245,the contribution coefficient of medical institutions is 0.1988.Therefore,living standards is the most important dimension,accounted for the highest contribution rate of multidimensional poverty from Yunnan province,followed by education,this two dimensions also belong to the strong multidimensial poverty contribution dimension,the rest of the two dimension belongs to the weak multidimensional poverty dimension.Then selecting 73 state's poverty-stricken counties for poverty alleviation in yunnan province in 10 counties in yunnan province as a representative of the samples to measure the multi-dimensional poverty,yunnan province in 2014 by the method of using MPI index of multidimensional poverty measurement,themeasurement results show that the degree of multidimensional poverty in the poor areas in yunnan province is very high,twiced the national average multidimensional poverty,the poor areas in Yun'nan multidimensional poverty fall behind the national average at least 12 years,thus illustrating that the anti-poverty task of poor areas in Yunnan province is very difficult,requiring the targeted anti-poverty policies in a higher degree to effectively solve the problem of multidimensional poverty in the poor areas..Finally,according to the research conclusion,this study respectively puts forward to formulate the targeted policy based on the dimension of the poverty,according to the degree of regional poverty and family poverty to formulate the anti-poverty policies and strengthening the construction of leader in poor areas,improving the management ability of poverty alleviation so as to find out anti-poverty inner driving force from this three key points in Yunnan province.
