This paper mainly studies the situation of technological innovation upgrade and economic growth from the perspective of China's patent space.On the theoretical level,we have absorbed product space analysis methods.On this basis,this paper has constructed a set of patent space to reflect the distribution and evolution of technological innovation capabilities,and has built a measure of patent space related measures.At the practical level,we have selected data on the invention patents of Chinese industrial companies from 1986 to 2015,which not only ensured a million-level information volume of big data,but also ensured the reliability and feasibility of invention patents.At the empirical level,this paper explores the path of upgrading and upgrading of technological innovation capabilities,and at the same time verifies the role of innovation capabilities in promoting and contributing to China's economic growth.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,the accumulation of endowments of patent technology innovation ability has both the effect of guiding and climbing and the role of maintaining advantages in the process of China's technological upgrading,and the role of the former is stronger than that of the latter.This phenomenon shows that the accumulation of innovation ability has a stronger role in promoting technology upgrading,and the diffusion of innovation formed by superior technologies is the main feature of the current innovation field.Second,the growth level of the future economic aggregates is significantly related to the degree of dispersion and complexity of innovation.The greater the degree of dispersion of technological innovation(the greater the value of entropy),the higher the incremental level of GDP is expected;the greater the complexity of innovation at the regional level.High,the higher the level of GDP is expected to be.The possible innovations in this paper mainly include:Firstly,a new perspective of economic research has been added,and from 1986 to 2015,the patent database of Chinese industrial enterprises was invented to systematically measure the company's microscopic level.At the micro level,covering millions of big data information eliminates the ambiguity at the industry level in traditional research.Secondly,technology is an input element of the production process.The diversity of technologies provides a path for product diversity.On the product space theory of Hausmann,Klinger,Hidalgo and others,they further derived the patent space theory and provided theoretical support for technological innovation and industrial structure upgrade.Finally,this article examines its predictive effect on economic growth from an innovation perspective.From the perspective of innovation,we constructed the distribution structure of innovative capabilities and the innovation complexity index in the patent space,and used this as an empirical analysis and test of economic growth forecasts.The work of this paper provides a micro-promotion mechanism for macro-scale economic growth,and can serve as a quantitative measurement theory and tool for innovation-driven economic development.
