Marx's theory of poverty is an important part of Marx's economic theory. In a certain sense,Marx's economic theory is about the proletariat out of poverty.Marx critically absorb classical economics and the reasonable composition of utopian socialist ideas about poverty, under the condition of capitalism in the workers' living conditions on the basis of long-term observation, careful study, formed the systematic thought complete poverty of the proletariat.Marx's thought of poverty is mainly embodied in the Manuscripts of Economic Philosophy of 1844,the Economic Manuscripts of 1857-1858,and Das Kapital.Marx's thought of poverty is a complete theoretical system which mainly includes the poverty of the proletariat, the root cause of poverty and the way to eliminate poverty.Marx believed that proletarian poverty is not only manifested in absolute poverty, but also in relative poverty, not only in material poverty, but also in spiritual poverty.Marx, through the analysis of the surplus value production process and method by the changes of the capitalist production technology conditions, labor for capital subordinate relations by the evolution of the form of membership to the facts, showing the working class exploited degree of deepening, all kinds of conditions of poverty in the capitalist forms,as well as absolute poverty and relative poverty, the inner link between the material poverty and spiritual poverty.Marx believed that the proletarian poverty is mainly the system poverty, mainly caused by the employment labor relations based on the capitalist private ownership. The primitive accumulation of capital has resulted in the separation of laborers and production materials, resulting in the alienation of labor and the material exploitation and spiritual oppression of the proletariat due to the alienation of labor.Marx's "economic and philosophical manuscripts of 1844","theoretically analyzed the capitalist private ownership leads to the alienation of labor,in the Das Kapital reproduced the real process of working class labor alienation. The capitalist private ownership and the consequent capitalist production objective must constantly accumulate capital.Correspondingly, the capital organic composition, showed a trend of decrease demand for labor, capital will generate relatively surplus population, thus causing the accumulation of the capitalist accumulation of wealth and poverty of the proletariat polar opposite trend of accumulation. As long as the capitalist private ownership and the employment of labor relations exist, this trend exists, the proletariat poverty exists. To eliminate the poverty of the proletariat at all,we must eliminate capitalist private ownership and employment labor relations.Marxist theory of poverty is formed based on the reality of British capitalism in the 19 th century, one hundred years ago, today's China and British in the 19 th century facing the situation has radically different, but in the form of Marx's theory on the proletarian poverty, the contradiction movement of productivity and production relations analysis method, eliminate poverty and realize human's free comprehensive development ideal pursuit of still have enlightenment significance to contemporary China. It suggests that we should examine and analyze various forms of poverty from different dimensions,so as to take measures to eliminate poverty in all aspects. We should adhere to the fundamental method of the contradiction movement between productive forces and production relations,so as to eliminate poverty thoroughly by starting from the unification of productive forces and production relations. We should adhere to the fundamental position of putting people first and realize the value goal of human freedom and all-round development.
