Research On The Upgrading Of The Global Value Chain Of Manufacturing Industry By The Opening Of Service Industry

Under the background of economic globalization,the global value chain has profoundly changed the pattern of international division of labor by splitting different parts of the product into different parts of the world for production.And great changes have taken place in the pattern of international economic and trade.International specialization under vertical specialization leads to the growing industrial chain.The service industry and service trade have become "lubricants" to ensure smooth operation of the global value chain.The deep integration of service industry and manufacturing industry also makes the development of service industry and opening to the outside world play an increasingly important role in the evolution of the status of the global value chain of manufacturing industry.Therefore,this paper focuses on the impact of the opening up of service industries on the upgrading of the global value chain of manufacturing industry.First,the two indicators of the degree of dependence on service trade in the sample countries and the technical complexity of manufacturing export are calculated.lt is used to indicate the degree of opening to the outside world and the global value chain of manufacturing industry.And the present situation analysis is carried out.The opening of service industry in the world's major developed and developing countries and the status of global value chain of manufacturing industry in the sample period,in addition to the decline in 2009 after the financial crisis,keep up the trend in other years.Then,from the theoretical level,this paper analyzes the mechanism of the influence of the opening of service industry on the upgrading of the global value chain of manufacturing industry.It also analyzes the link and coordination between service activities and spatial links and transaction links,the efficiency improvement and economies of scale brought about by high efficiency intermediate inputs are also discussed.Finally,this paper takes export technology complexity index as explanatory variable and trade dependency index as core explanatory variable.The empirical analysis is also conducted on the variables of R&D capability,human capital and foreign direct investment control variables.It is found that the openness of service industry,the increase of foreign direct investment,R&D capability and human capital level can significantly enhance the global value chain of a manufacturing industry According to the conclusion,this paper puts forward specific policy recommendations.
