Research On Industrial Evolution Mechanism Of Local Urban Industry In China From The Perspective Of Evolutionary Economic Geography

With the coming of post-industrial era,cities in this pioneer area are faced with the problem of accumulating a large number of stock industry generally.Multiple and complex regional competition environment also calls for cities to realize their own path of industry evolution characteristics.But the current study of industry evolution focused on the specific industry mostly and analyze the influencing element of various factors with quantitative method.The research on the long-span industrial evolution is also insufficient.However,the rise of evolutionary economic geography provides us a new perspective of observing urban industry evolution.The view of Advocating historical importance and the co-evolution of enterprise and institution helps us to observe a city's overall industry evolution characteristics and mechanism.Therefore,based on the development of our country,this paper build a interpretation framework of local urban industrial evolution mechanism in our country,as the core clues of relationship between government and enterprises.The evolution of the relationship between government and enterprises at a particular stage of development result in adaptive adjustment of industrial system and solidification,which promotes the evolution of the industry.The reconstruction of the relationship between government and enterprises is both under the influence of macroscopic system environment and the historical basis of industry evolution,which Has a certain path dependency.Through the case study of Wuxi,we found that the relationship between the local government and the enterprise is leading the direction of the evolution of industry.Excessive government intervention in business interferes with the regularity of firm growth,and lack of government intervention in business would cause the disorderly development of the enterprise and the waste of resources.There should be a balance between government and enterprises,which depends on the historical basis of industrial evolution in different stages and has a certain path dependence.This research follows the train of thought of 'Framework construction-empirical test' and based on based on the evolutionary economic geography to construct the interpretation framework.It makes an empirical study with Wuxi,which has a long history of Industrial development and significant change in the relationship between government and enterprises.Then we think about the adaptability of Evolutionary economic geography in China.Chapter One is the introduction.This part puts forward the research background and significance of this paper,and briefly introduces the main content,the empirical object,the train of thought and writing and the structure of this paper.Chapter Two is the research summary.On the one hand,this part reviews and summarizes the research concerning the evolution of industry at home and abroad,on the other hand it researches about foreign evolution economic geography theory and domestic study results in this area.Chapter Three constructs the interpretation framework based on the evolutionary economic geography perspective.Based on the research summary,this part analyzes the factors influencing the urban industrial evolution and the internal relations among the factors,and thus constructs the interpretation framework for the urban industrial evolution in our country.Chapters Four and Five researches the industrial evolution mechanism of Wuxi from the perspective of evolutionary economic geography.Based on the interpretation framework of this paper,this part studies the industrial evolution process of Wuxi,and discusses the industrial evolution process and mechanism of Wuxi since 1949.Chapter Six discusses the adaptability of evolutionary economic geography studies in urban industrial evolution in China.By further summarizing and reflecting on the empirical case of Wuxi,this paper discusses how to apply evolutionary economic geography to the study of industrial evolution in China.Chapter Seven is conclusion and discussion.This part highly summarizes and refines the research of this paper,and states the main viewpoints and conclusions.And how to strengthen the scientificity of further research is prospected.
