Study On The Development Of The Logistics Of Agricultural Products In Tianshui

Tianshui City is the second largest city in Gansu Province,located at the junction of Shaanxi,Gansu and Sichuan provinces,living in the center of Lanzhou and Xi'an,as well as the economic and cultural logistics center of Southeast Gansu Province.located at the junction of Shaanxi,Gansu and Sichuan provinces,living in the center of Lanzhou and Xi'an,as well as the economic and cultural logistics center of Southeast Gansu Province.Due to its unique geographical location and climate conditions,the production of special agricultural products has obvious advantages.It is the main base of fruit,vegetables and Chinese space breeding in Northwest China.There are variety of agricultural and forestry products with good quality in the area,such as apples in Huaniu,peaches cherries and grapes in Qinan,flower and vegetables in Wushan and Gangu,livestock products in Zhangjiachuan.With all these natural advantages,Tianshui does not share high economic benifits from agricultural products because of scattered enterprises in small scale and simplex circulation channel.Moreover,the distribution costs a lot in such an agricultural market.The thesis,based on the research and practice of agricultural product logistics both at home and abroad,constructs SWOT-PEST matrix analysis model that includes the analysis of advantages and disadvantages in both Tianshui and outside under the guidance of the SWOT-PEST model and the theory of agricultural product logistics.The current situation in Tianshui agricultural product logistics is underdeveloped.Firstly,the level of agricultural production is low with scattered and insufficient enterprises.Secondly,the preservation technology is backward in the process of storage and transportation of agricultural products.Thirdly,the agricultural product logistics standardization system is not perfect.Fourthly,the operation of agricultural logistics is not highly qualified.Finally,there is a shortage in the talents of logistics.Based on the SWOT-PEST model,this thesis summarizes the countermeasures and suggestions for Tianshui to develop agricultural products logistics from four aspects: SO,WO,ST and WT.In view of the market opportunity,we should give full play to the advantages of increasing the publicity and implementation of the logistics development policy and integrating the regional advantages of agricultural products;we should deal with the threats by making innovations in the logistics operation mode of agricultural products and the development of the third party logistics;the inferior quality of the logistics development of the Tianshui agricultural products should be improved from the quality of the production,the development of electronic commerce,as well as the standardization of agricultural productlogistics.In order to modify the internal disadvantages of Tianshui agricultural products logistics,we should strengthen the training of logistics personnel and strengthen the construction of logistics infrastructure.Only by this can we improve the overall knowledge and ability of logistics personnel.As a result,we can improve the efficiency of the logistics operation of Tianshui agricultural products,and make the disadvantages to the advantage.
