A Study On Development Of Flue-cured Tobacco Industry In Lvzhi Town Of Yi Men County

As one of China's large industries with big profits,the tobacco industry plays an important role in influencing China's economic development.However,with an increasing downtown pressure on the economy and the three-year regulation of tobacco production in recent years,as well as the trend in the transformation of production mode,different tobacco production areas have to ponder over the question that how to understand their own advantages and disadvantages,and actively explore a suitable development path that can meet both the regional characteristics and the market demand.Yuxi is a famous base for the production of high quality tobacco products.The flue-cured tobacco industry of Lvzhi town,seated in Yuxi city,Yunnan province,is chosen as the study object in the current research.Through using data collected by the official report,relevant informations,such as tobacco planting area,planting labor,quantity of construction,acreage of the future can expand and development of cooperative between 2014 and 2016,are collected.Also,we conduct suvey on the employment structure,the average cigarette production equipment,situation of income and planting willingness,as well as demand for services of tobacco between farmers and non-farmers.Through the investigation and analysis,the tobacco production of Lvzhi town displays certain disadvantages,which are the main reason that has constrained the development of the tobacco industry.On the other hand,the advantages include good planting conditions,and the attention of local government put on local tobacco industry development.Due to the low tobacco purchase price and the labor shortage,generally speaking,the farmers' planting willingness is not strong.Also,due to the shortage of advanced tobacco infrastructure equipment and planting mechanization,high production costs of fertilizer and the imperfection of cooperative system,the modern level of tobacco production in Lvzhi town lags behind.Considering the advantages and limitations of the tobacco industry development in Lvzhi town,this research puts forward the future direction of the transformation,which is from extensive to intensive mode of production method,and actively promotes the development of green ecological tobacco development.Furthermore,specific and feasible suggestions for tobacco industry development in Lvzhi town are put forward.Also,suggestions for the advancing of national tobacco industry policy are proposed.Overall,the purpose of this research is to provide practical guidance to Lvzhi town,and to provide references for the development countermeasures that might suit other mountainous areas.
