In the context of urbanization,there are increasingly serious social issues,such as Children's nature-deficit disorder,resources wasting,food safety,caused by the interpersonal indifference and the contradictions between human and nature.The citizen's crave for coming back nature making community garden more popular because of its advantages in all respects,especially in the Children's natural education,the connection between city and nature and the innovation of landscape design mode.Because of urban economy and land policy,most community gardens in the suburbs or outer suburbs hinder the participation of the citizens.Based on above background,this paper attempts to research on building of an educational community garden in the city by landscape design acting a coordinator,and integrates the sociology,pedagogy,ecology and other disciplines to study the construction of educational farm in the urban gap zones.The paper rooted in the social background with Chinese characteristics comes up with a “decision-landscape planning and design-natural education-public participation” linkage mechanism by integrate social disengaged resource,and take Knowledge & Innovation Community Garden in shanghai as an example to elucidate the constructional strategies and elements of an educational community garden in city open space.This tape community garden is informal green space,independent from traditional green space classification,with a target that it can achieve sustainable development through cultivating productive individual and a sense of belonging of communities.And with a survey about some typical community gardens in Shanghai,theory with practice,It brings community garden more reference significance.
