Since the beginning of the 21 st century, the competitive environment in the global market has become increasingly fierce, coupled with the problems of the lack of world economic growth and the slowdown in the growth of international trade, prompting many companies to try to use innovation and entrepreneurship as an opportunity to seek sustainable development. As a result, the company's second venture and the creation of new businesses have become the engines that drive the economies of the world. However, there is an “ ethical dilemma ” problem for start-up companies. On the one hand,in order to obtain profits, they have given up social responsibility inputs in the early days of their ventures, and even hesitated to break the ethical requirements;on the other hand, they have been mistaken for failing to fulfill their social responsibilities.Access to potential resources and knowledge opportunities is not conducive to the long-term development of the company. Therefore, this paper takes entrepreneurial enterprise as the research subject, relationship embedding as the intermediary variable, and the characteristics of entrepreneurial environment as the regulated variables, and focuses on the influencing mechanism of entrepreneurial enterprise's social responsibility on its performance.Under the premise that startup companies do not abide by ethics, they create a healthy,upward-competitive atmosphere for enterprises and actively guide entrepreneurial enterprises in their social responsibility construction. On the basis of sorting out the relevant literature, this paper constructs a research model of the impact mechanism of entrepreneurial corporate social responsibility on entrepreneurial performance. Then, combining the existing research,a scale of relevant variables was selected.Finally,414 questionnaires were collected by means of questionnaires.Data analysis was performed using SPSS19.0 data analysis software. The results showed that:(1)The dimensions of social responsibility of startup companies positively affected their profitability and growth performance.(2)Economic responsibilities, legal responsibilities, ethical responsibilities, and philanthropic responsibilities act positively on relationship embedding and theembedding of relationships in the impact of entrepreneurial corporate social responsibilities on their performance has an intermediary role.It plays a partial intermediary role in the impact of economic responsibility on profitability performance, while others play a complete intermediary role.(3)The dynamic nature, looseness, and complexity of the entrepreneurial environment do not regulate the effect of entrepreneurial corporate social responsibility on its performance. From the perspective of empirical research, this paper deepens the research on the relationship between entrepreneurial corporate social responsibility, entrepreneurial performance, relationship embedding, and environmental characteristics. From a practical point of view, this paper proposes relevant suggestions for the active promotion of entrepreneurial companies in their social responsibilities and the inclusion of social responsibilities in strategic planning at the initial stage of their establishment, with a view to realizing the sustainable development of start-up companies.
