Due to the rapid social and economic development in China in recent years,many protection issues have emerged and caused damage to the Beijing to Hangzhou Grand Canal.Protecting the ecological environment of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal has always been a challenging task because of its economic and social development of china.Although people pay more and more attention to protect the ecological environment of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,the Yangzhou City Government is still lacks the environmental assessment system and protection principles and norms applicable to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.This article focuses on the current status of ecological protection of the Yangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,so as to be able to carry out its current ecological environment work,the current state of the ecological environment,and the roles borne by various organizations,and discusses the reasons for the existence of problems in the protection of ecological protection.It has found that the main problems of environmental protection in the Grand Canal,Beijing and Hangzhou are lack of coordination,unclear division of responsibilities and low participation of social organizations.The main reason for these problems lies in the unsound cooperative governance mechanism,the division of labor of the traditional governance model and the lack of participation in the management of the canal and the lack of participation of the social organizations.And then the countermeasures are as follows:1)establishing cooperative mechanism,perfecting the existing work mode 2)updating management mode,clear division of labor 3)open participation channels and guiding the participation of social organizations.
