Travel unit is the main bearing parts of shearer.The fracture of guide foot and drive wheel are the key problems to affect the life of shearer.Therefore,based on the dynamic analysis of shearer,analysis and forecast the fatigue life of the key parts of travel unit are carried out.The main content is as follows:First,whole machine model of MG/500-1180 shearer was simplified based on equilibrium condition of forces of shearer.The torque generated by the external load of the drum and the rocker arm and the moment of inertia caused by the gravity of the drum rocker arm were equivalent to the connection pin between rocker and coal-cutter body.Above research provided theoretical basis for dynamic analysis of shearer.Then,three-dimensional solid model of shearer were established and introduced into the ANSYS LS-DYNA and dynamics characteristics of shearer were analyzed and studied.The contact stress and change law of between travel unit of shearer and scraper conveyor were obtained by simulation analysis.The further dynamic analysis on travel unit was carried out by using the result of finite element analysis of shearer as external load.The distribution and regularities of road wheel?guide roots and pin-rail stress and strain in the process of the shearer operation were obtained.The rain-flow counting and load extrapolation of the force of the main components in the dynamic result of travel unit were executed by rain-flow counting method,and using the load spectrum by extrapolation as external load.Fatigue life of these main components were calculated by using N-code software.At last,comparing fatigue life prediction results of this paper with working life of MG/500-1180 shearer of coal mine in jixi.The results of this paper correspond to the service life of actual working conditions.So,the research content of this paper has some application value.
