Research On Space Form Of Rural Residential Group In Hunan Area Based On The Space Syntax

Rural settlement is a unique pattern of regional space form in effect by economic,social and cultural factors together in a long history.And in the number of our villages with vast area are in a extensive development state for a long time due to the unreasonable planning and construction.In order to protect the rural traditional pattern of regional space and satisfy the functional requirements of modern civilization,this thesis on the core of material space in the rural settlement —the residential groups as object.On the one hand,to meet the needs of the new rural construction's historical development;on the other hand,provides new perspective and basis for planning and construction in rural settlement space.This thesis on the the rural residential groups in Hunan aere as object,qualitative and quantitative analyse its space form by using the theory of morphology and space syntax.Respectively for two rural cases of modern village and traditional village in hunan area,space syntax based by in topological and graph theory,establishing cognitive process model through diagram language.Sums up the regional space form features of rural residential groups,and some suggestions are put forward for the settlement space.This study in three-stages.First,on the basis of the research in home and abroad theories about spatial form and architectural group,analysis the shortage of current research and then set up the research framework for my study.And try to study the constituent parts and impact factor on the residential group spatial form.Sums up the factors affecting rural residential group mainly for natural factors,social and cultural factors,policy system and the functional requirements.and sums up several modes of rural residential groups such as the round,the ribbon,groups and organic combination.Second,leverage the Depthmap developed software as a major space syntax analysis approach,and Transformation diagram of rural residential group space language for Yuntian village and Chong Mudang village.And then analysis the evident characteristics and main impacts.Yuntian village stands for the modern village,dull function,lacking public space and convenient are the main spatial characteristics of residential group.The main influencing factors are terrain and traffic.Chong Mudang village stands for the traditionall village,the poor traffic,significant public space and defensive are the main spatial characteristics of residential group.The main influencing factors are terrain and spiritual beliefs.Third,comparative the analysis of the control value which included Integration,Connectivity and Mean Depth on residential groups' complex characteristics,and put forward several principles such as integrity,organic and regionality in rural residential groups of the Hunan area.And from the angle of settlement residential group space to put forward some suggestions by using spatial analysis method in the quantification of space syntax for rural space.
