Under the economic globalization market,competition in the homogenization market in the same industry has become increasingly fierce.The cost pressures faced by the manufacturing industry have gradually increased,and various companies have been looking for various effective management methods in order to prevent the decline of profits.They hope that they can improve their internal strength,reduce costs and ensure corporate profits.After the company discovered that it was difficult to make greater progress in terms of sales,the only breakthrough in cost reduction was procurement management.Delphi sought to find a breakthrough point from procurement management to achieve cost reduction.However,the traditional procurement model in the market competition,the drawbacks are frequent,can't achieve the purpose of reducing costs and increasing efficiency.The advanced foreign supply chain management philosophy injects new elements into procurement management,enables procurement management to break through the existing structure,and can act as a synergistic upstream and downstream company under the framework of supply chain management,providing lean production and timely delivery Provided the necessary conditions,it also laid a good foundation for the entire supply chain synchronization operations.The automobile and auto parts industry is a typical representative of the manufacturing industry.Many advanced manufacturing concepts originate from the automotive and auto parts manufacturing industries,such as the lean production system represented by Toyota.Moreover,the automotive and auto parts industry is also willing to accept and apply advanced management concepts to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.Delphi Corporation is an auto parts company.In the face of increasingly fierce industry competition,the development of internal procurement management work is not satisfactory.The high raw material costs,the frequent occurrence of raw material quality problems,the unprecedented supply of raw material costs in the quotations of new projects,the complicated procurement processes,and the loosely organized organizational structure are all bottlenecks in the company's strategy.After receiving a series of external customer complaints and complaints,Delphi Corporation realized that it was necessary to adjust the company's organizational structure and procurement management.Applying the concept of supply chain management to procurement management,the only way to achieve maximum reduction of costs are both the self-selection of Delphi and the inevitable trend of the times.The thesis mainly analyzes Delphi's existing procurement management,procurement management problems and improvement measures.First of all,the paper combines the relevant theories of supply chain management and procurement management at home and abroad to clarify the significance and theoretical basis of the research.Secondly,we analyze Delphi's current procurement management issues and problems.Again,applying supply chain management theory to optimize existing procurement management.Finally,track implementation results,and continue to improve and perfect to achieve the desired results.Delphi's application of supply chain procurement management has improved the synchronization efficiency of the supply chain,formed a good win-win model with suppliers,shortened the product development,production cycle,and reduced the total cost of the supply chain.Ultimately,it has an important role in improving customer satisfaction and winning more new businesses.
