| With the development of economic and technological globalization,the international technology transfer especially within Multi-National Corporation technology transfer wins more and more attention.Since the 1980s,China adopted a "market for technology"technology introduction strategy,and this strategy in the automotive industry is particularly prominent.However,until now,the effectiveness of technology transfer multinational automotive industry in China has been no breakthrough progress.China’s automobile business almost did not get the core technology multinationals,and there still exist a large gap between the overall level of technology and foreign car companies’.Therefore,in order to enhance the effectiveness of multinational technology transfer in China,we must first understand the factors affecting the effectiveness of technology transfer.With the aid of qualitative analysis software NVIVO10.0,this paper uses the grounded theory to analyze the cases of German BMW Group BMW technology transfer.We integrated the data which include the First-hand information obtained in field research interviews and the Second-hand information from newspapers,websites,etc.,and layer by layer coding open coding,axial coding and selective coding in three stages,the 63 category,then summed up into 18 main categories,finally extracted 8 core categories.As a result,the paper gets 7 influencing factors of the Multi-National Corporation in the Chinese automobile industry technology transfer effect.On this basis,the article also analyzes the importance of the 7 influencing factors,identifies the key factors and general influencing factors of the effectiveness of technology transfer.And then analyzes the context of influencing factors and how these factors affect the effectiveness of technology transfer,and constructs the model of factors affecting multinational automotive industry technology transfer in China.Through case studying,it is found that(1)the influencing factors of the effectiveness of multinational automotive industry technology transfer in China include the market environment,technology transfer capacity,technology absorptive capacity,technological attribute,the national policy,the enterprise strategy and the cultural differences.(2)Among these factors,the market environment,the technology transfer capacity and the technology absorptive capacity ’have a greater degree of influence on the effectiveness of technology transfer multinational automotive industry in China,so they are identified as the key influencing factors of affecting the effectiveness of technology transfer;While,technological attribute,the national policy,the enterprise strategy and the cultural differences’ influences are lower than other four factors,so they are classified as general influencing factors of affecting the effectiveness of technology transfer.(3)Every influencing factors have some main categories and categories,and affect the effectiveness of technology transfer through these son categories. |
