With he development of power grid,nowadays,the scale of power system in China has been expanding,and th development has in turn facilitated remarkable economy upgrading in China.However,at the same time,the expanded scale also contributes the unreliability in the safe operation of the state power system.Being an important element of power system,main electrical connection scheme of power plant exerts an important effect on the reliability of the complete power system.Therefore,the improvement of power system reliability becomes the problem that we must face.The first priority shall be taken to the analysis and research of the reliability of power system,which enables it with significant value in engineering application in the process of reliability upgrading of the power system.Previous methods of reliability analysis include: faulty tree method,faulty mode,consequence analysis(FMEA),and state-space techniques,etc,among which the fault tree method is an commonly used by scholars in simple system with stable operation.However,such method has its own limitation in reality as most of the systems are those with multiple states,temporal variation and feedback.GO method,as a relatively new method of reliability analysis,shows great advantage over fault tree method in solving above problems.Therefore,it is of great significance to study GO method with the expectation to develop and perfect its function and algorithm continuously.In this article,firstly,the basic concept,principle of Go method is introduced and its advantage is illustrated through the comparative research between reliability methods.Secondly,the evaluation process of reliability analysis on main electrical connection scheme of power plant is introduced along with some reliability indexes of each component such as : failure rate,repair rate,availability,average time of annual power outage,etc.Also some modeling analysis is performed on these components to obtain the calculation formulas of each reliability index.Finally,based on analysis of the reliability indexes of the four electrical connection schemes of power plant combined with the calculation formulas after modeling analysis,the reliability index of these four connection schemes are obtained,which has in turn proved the high reliability of the electrical connection via 3/2 circuit breaker and verified the feasibility of the GO method in the main electrical connection scheme of power plant.
