Research On Material Language In The Reconstruction Of Existing Industrial Buildings

Industry,as the second industry of the country,is an important force to promote the overall economic development of our country.As an industrial production space,industrial architecture is an important part of urban texture in China.Since the last century in 90 s,China implemented the "retreat into the" policy to promote social economic structure adjustment,the industry began to face the industrial transformation,originally due to economic conditions and consciousness of existing industrial buildings also highlights its simple flat building appearance.At the same time,due to the passage of time,the material language of industrial buildings has gradually transmitted a kind of fragmentation and waste expression power,which has caused some "sense of panic caused by time lapse",and also has a negative impact on shaping the image of a beautiful city.Therefore,we need to reunderstand the methods of performance of the materials in the existing industrial buildings,according to the needs of the new era.Lewis Kahn said "material more easily than the space to reveal the meaning of existence,more easy to decode and graphic material with rich texture and color to make it easier for the people’s perception of the senses and grasp in the construction experience in space has a more direct significance." In the transformation of existing industrial buildings,people retain some of the materials of the existing buildings.This practice is based on the consideration of the history of the economy,the environment and the existing buildings,hoping to continue the unique historical style of the industrial buildings.At the same time,in order to meet the needs of contemporary people,people retain part of their materials and add new materials due to factors such as architectural function,structure and aesthetics.As far as this article is concerned,the author uses linguistics to illustrate the basicstructure of the material language in the reform of industrial architecture so that people can understand the research from a more systematic perspective.The first two chapters of the thesis introduce and combed the theoretical basis of the industrial architecture transformation and material language.The three or four chapter expounds the material types(material vocabulary)and material use principles(material grammar)used in the transformation of existing industrial buildings in our country.The fifth chapter,through the analysis of the previous article,derives our country The overall strategy of industrial building renovation and the use of materials(material pragmatics),the last chapter makes a comprehensive summary of this study and puts forward the shortcomings of the research and some conjectures to the future research..
