Study Of Wan Nan Traditional Villages Spatial Cognition Based On Space Syntax

The traditional villages are multi-element fusion of complex,which have saved local characteristics and unique cultural heritage in the long history.As one of the most complete traditional villages in China,WanNan traditional villages have unique cultural connotation and spatial characteristics,which achieve important academic value.Although most traditional villages have prepared conservation and development plans,most of them focus on the value of the historical remains of the entity,such as ancestral halls and traditional houses so on,despite the fact that people have started to value and protect the traditional villages’ spatial and cultural values.From the perspective of people’s cognition,the space which carrying the memory of life and the village culture should be protected too.A single value judgment also makes model of the village development tend to be homogenous.This paper studies the village spatial form and cognition,uses space syntax and urban imagery theory to describe the spatial attributes of ZhaJi villages objectively and subjectively,and reveals the spatial form and deep space features of the village.First,we use Depthmap to analyze ZhaJi villages synthetically and regionally,and discuss the village space forms.Second,through the field investigation and survey visit(questionnaire,circle drawing area method,open-ended interview),the cognitive feedback of different users was obtained,and the cognitive data and distribution of the five elements of the village were summarized,so we can see that there are differences between different cognitive elements intensity.The method of combining the image elements with the axis map is used to verify that there is some coupling between space syntax and cognitive results.Some variables with high numerical values in the spatial structure play an important role in the different user’s cognition,and different users have different spatial cognition patterns.On this basis,it summarizes the existing problems and public expectations in the construction of the image of ZhaJi Village,and finally puts forward the strategy of optimizing development by carefully interpreting the five elements.The innovation of this paper lies in the fact that it’s not rich to use spatial cognition and space syntactic at the same time,and most of them are used in urban space.However,there are few research results applied to traditional villages.From the perspective of public image,we need to consider how to reflect the traditional villages cultural connotation and care for the effective interaction between people and traditional villages at the same time,.In the paper,the interpretation of five elements from point to surface,from the local to overall,leads to the reasonable developments advice of ZhaJi,combined with the cultural characteristics of value to achieve reappearance.
