Study On The Spatial Characteristics Of Traditional Villages And Streets In Handan Mountain Area Based On Space Syntax

China has a long history,a vast territory,a profound architectural culture,and a variety of traditional geographical spaces.With the rapid development of the economy,people have higher requirements for the quality of life.Nowadays,in the space-building activities,the understanding of traditional geographical space and value is sometimes biased.The relevant theoretical and practical research on its protection and renewal has not established a perfect system in time,and the unilaterally emphasized urbanization,forming a “one thousand villages and one scene”,which caused more serious damage to the traditional villages in China.Firstly,this paper summarizes the theoretical research on the analysis of street space characteristics at home and abroad,clarifies the research content,purpose,method and technical route of the thesis;and analyzes the rationality and scientificity of the space syntax theory to analyze the space characteristics of traditional village streets.Secondly,through practical investigation,the space elements and influencing factors of traditional villages in Handan mountains are analyzed.The space syntax is used again to quantify the street space of each traditional village.Finally,combined with the mathematical statistics platform,relationships among the street space features is studied and summarized,which is applied in the continuation of the street space in the Handan mountains.This study takes the traditional village street space in Handan mountains as example.Firstly,the space model platform is used to establish and analyzed the axis model,the line segment model and the line of sight model.The analysis results are presented graphically,and the actual situation of the village is used to analyze the quantification of the traditional village street space in Handan mountains.This paper uses the mathematical statistics platform to study relationships among the street space features,and on basis of the analysis results the space characteristics of traditional villages in Handan mountain are summarized.Finally,the corresponding design strategies are proposed for the continuation and renewal of the traditional villages in Handan mountains according to the research results.In recent years,some research and construction results of traditional villages have gradually achieved,but most of them are limited to the qualitative level,lacking quantitative research,so it is difficult to obtain scientific quantitative results.In this study,space syntax and mathematical statistics are applied to the study of traditional village space,which further expands the application of quantitative research level of the village space and the space syntax system.It also scientifically proposes the specific strategy of spatial design in the process of continuation and renewal of traditional villages.
