Comparative Study On Urban Street Design Guidelines

Depend on the rapid development of modern urban construction,the street design has become one of the most important elements of urban public space,its functional requirements and forms have been mentioned on an important agenda.We need a kind of street,how to design the street,this is a subject to seriously study.Street show is a reflection of cultural and spiritual outlook of a city,the characteristics of the image,Jan Jacob said in the "big city of life and death":"when we think of a city,the street firstly came into my mind.If the street has vitality,the city will be vitality;the street is dull and the city will be dull." And the traffic flow efficiency of the street and the return of the human life function,we need to build a comprehensive,integrated planning and design framework of the street.Depended on the above problems,this paper sums up the research results of the domestic and international street space in the light of the present situation of street space.Firstly,this paper introduces the development of international and domestic city street design guidelines,and then select a joint capital Abu Dhabi,Beijing,Shanghai China three typical city as an example,introduces the respective street design guidelines for the preparation of background,content framework and technical highlights.Summed up the city streets control guidelines in the sustainable development of city traffic,communication mode,recreation,commercial and other diversified control points,and combined with the Hefei City Wangjiang West Street design examples.At the end of this paper,the conclusion of this paper is summarized,and the innovation points,limitations and the need for further research are pointed out.
