The freight business is one of the core revenue sources for railway transport companies.In face of fierce competition in the current transportation market,China Railway Corporation has implemented logistics reform to enhance its competitiveness.Under this background,the traditional railway freight transportation pricing method is difficult to grasp the market demand in the market-oriented competition in the freight market,and to attract the investment of social idle funds in the railway transportation industry.Therefore,the rational establishment of railway freight transportation price is one of the key issues in the logistics transformation of railway transportation enterprises.Firstly,this paper studies the current pricing and management models for railway freight transportation in China,and analyzes the problems of unreasonable rail freight structure and low price of rail freight transportation.Then,the modern logistics theory,supply chain theory,and storage theory are applied to the pricing of railway freight transportation,with the supply chain of railway transportation companies,production companies and multiple sales companies as the background,a railway freight transportation pricing model with the goal of maximizing the average total profit of participating companies in the supply chain was constructed.After the optimization model was completed,numerical experiments for a single sales company and multiple sales companies on the supply chain were designed,the MATLAB toolbox is invoked to solve the optimal order quantity,optimal order point,and rail freight transportation price level of the sales organization that maximizes the total average profit of the supply chain.First,for the numerical experiments when there is only a single sales company in the supply chain,through the model solution,compared with the total average profit of each participating company in the case of the economic order volume and the economic order point of the sales enterprise before the cooperation relationship without forming the supply chain to verify the correctness of the model.Secondly,for the numerical experiments when the supply chain includes multiple sales companies,through the model solution and sensitivity analysis of the parameters in the railway transportation price power function is performed to verify the versatility of the model.The results show that the railway freight transportation pricing model established with the supply chain as a background is conducive to improving the competitiveness of railway transportation companies in the freight market and maximizing the profits of participating companies in the supply chain.
