The proposal of the "One Belt and One Road" and the establishment of a free trade pilot zone in inland areas provide a good external environment for the inland areas to expand external contacts, develop an export-oriented economy, promote the construction of transportation infrastructure and join the international logistics system. In this context,China's major inland cities have established international dry ports. At present,International inland port is the pivotal platform for the development of logistics in inland areas. Its competitiveness is directly related to the development prospects and strategic layout of international logistics in the region.China's study on this field has been increasing over the past 17 years, however, research involving the International inland port competitiveness has started relatively late and has achieved little success. Therefore, the study adopts the theory analysis and modeling to estimate international inland port's competitiveness and combines the case analysis with the development environment of the Free Trade Zone to propose strategies for improving competitiveness. It has certain theoretical and practical application values.First of all,the study focuses on the strategies of international inland port's competitiveness based on Logistics Integration Field Theory which combines the factors of logistics.Taking the international logistics integration field as the background, the International inland port as a platform integration, its key elements in operation, including connection keys, integrated gravitation, line and logistics integration, laying the theoretical foundation for follow-up research.Second, from the view of cargo owners and enterprises, this study defines the key factors impacts the competitiveness of international inland port, including the level of the internal infrastructure of the international inland port, the development level of the logistics industry, the development level of the traffic environment, the development level of the policy environment.setting up a competitiveness estimation system combined with Grey Relation Theory and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation.Third, taking the “international cargo source” as the competition point, combined infrastructure, geographic location, development goals and other factors, selected the international inland port Group with a higher degree of correlation with Xi'an International inland Port(XIA),Chengdu,Chongqing, and Zhengzhou International Dry Port as the comparison targets for competitiveness evaluation;then, using the model to estimate the international inland port Group, getting the advantages and disadvantages of XIA.Finally, the study proposes the future development strategies for XIA and similar inland ports based on model analysis results, the background of Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the successful experience of leading inland ports and Pilot Free Trade Zone. The achievements of this study include: develops the theory of international inland port competitiveness evaluation and suggestion based on Integration Field Theory;from the view of cargo owners and enterprises, establishes the complete estimation model of international inland port;Defining the advantages and disadvantages of XIA;based on the background of the Free Trade Zone, proposes the competitiveness promotion strategies for XIA.
