With modernization,tower cranes are becoming more and more common in our daily lives.However,the chances of major accidents in tower cranes are also increasing.One of the important reasons is that there is no real-time security monitoring of the tower crane and the tower crane's working conditions cannot be predicted.If we can understand in advance the current working status of the tower crane and infer its next working status according to the current operating conditions,we can take appropriate measures in advance to prevent the occurrence of dangerous accidents in tower cranes.To realize the safety monitoring of the tower crane,it is necessary to collect the operating parameters of the tower crane in a timely and effective manner,and to focus these operating parameters together for analysis.Therefore,the most basic way to realize remote monitoring of the tower crane is how to collect the tower crane work information and send it to the monitoring terminal in time.The paper analyzes the status quo of tower cranes and proposes a design scheme for tower crane data transmission via 3G or Beidou short messages based on actual requirements.On the hardware,the Smart210 development board with friendly support arm was used as the core controller.Based on this,the design of the hardware connection between the TTH-JMA21 and Smart210,EM770 W and Smart210 and the power supply circuit was completed.On the software,the host and core board software environment was set up in the Ubuntu environment,and the sensor sent to the serial port data was monitored through a multi-threaded method.the function of transmitting data to a remote monitoring terminal through a 3G network under a better network condition is completed,and after the 3G network connection fails,the data is transmitted to a remote terminal in the form of a Beidou short message.The data transmission system designed in this paper can guarantee the timely and effective transmission of the operating parameters of the towercrane.The addition of the TTH-JMA21 Beidou short message communication module can change the current status of temporarily saving the data when the3 G network connection is not available.Realize real-time monitoring of tower cranes.The system was verified in a laboratory environment and the data transmission system was applied to a tower crane that actually worked.The results showed that the data transmission system can work normally.To lay the foundation for the safety monitoring of the tower crane.
