Based on the the difficult issues in the construction status of the canopy steel structure engineering,this article analyze the feasibility of BIM technology applied to the construction of the canopy steel structure project.The Shishi Shimo Skyscraper canopy project is used as a research case in terms of progress,quality,and cost.We will begin to analyze the application effectiveness of BIM technology in the construction of the canopy steel structure.First,the case project uses Tekla Structures to create the steel structure BIM model to complete the deepening design of the steel structure and the node processing.The overall structure of the steel structure,the truss section condition,the rod size,the connection method,the pre-camber value,etc.are represented in the model in detail.Secondly,the improvement ideas and processes involved in the overall improvement plan adopted by the case project are combined with the 3Dmax software application to achieve an accurate work surface classification and Fine-grained transportation management,using the visualization and simulation advantages of BIM technology to simulate the lifting process,and performing animation demonstrations in block-by-block assembly to improve the efficiency of technical disclosure;Finally,a total station and BIM 3D model are used in the hoisting The spatial positioning measurement of the three-dimensional canopy steel structure during the construction process.From the application of the case project,it is concluded that the use of BIM technology in the construction of the canopy steel structure can effectively solve the technical problems and improve the accuracy of node installation;the once-through rate of the construction quality of the canopy steel structure increases by 11.5%,and the processing production period shortens by 17%.The installation period was shortened by 29% and the total time limit was reduced by 22.3%.This shows that the BIM technology can effectively improve the construction accuracy,speed,and safety performance of the canopy steel structure while reducing the construction cost.
