Research On Effect Of Supervisory Style Of Civil Airports On Staff Error Orientation

Safety is always the foundation that civil transportation industry relies for surviving on and developing,and is the first guarantee of efficiency.The international civil aviation organization(ICAO)statistic shows that human factors accounted for about 76% of the accident cause factor.Human error is one of the most important reasons for the aviation safety accident which cannot be ignored.The error orientation,as an individual's attitude and behavior disposition after the appearance of error,has important significance for civil airports security management.Safety supervisory is an important component in the management of the civil aviation system for human error.The style of safety supervisory will affect the staff's understanding and feelings of error directly,which affect the staff's error orientation.According to the empirical analysis,this thesis verified the influence of airport supervisory style on staff error orientation and the moderating effect of safety climate,which aim to through the innovation of safety supervisory way,the improvement of airport's safety climate and so on,to promote the staff to form a positive error orientation,and to manage staff's error behavior effectively for the perspective of long-time development,so as to improve the safety performance of airports.The thesis analyzes the relationship between supervisory style and error orientation,and the moderating effect of safety climate,based on this,builds the theory model.Through the random questionnaire research from the domestic 4 airports' staff to collect data,applying SPSS 19.0 for statistical analysis,the thesis verifies the theory model and hypothesis.The main conclusions are followed:Firstly,supervisory style of airports has significant influence on error orientation,which included supportive supervisory style has significant positive influence on error handing,error risk taking and error thinking while has negative influence on error covering;on the other side,controlling supervisory style has significant negative influence on error handing,error pressure and error covering.Secondly,safety climate has significant positive influence on error orientation,specifically has significant positive influence on error handing,error communicating and error thinking.Thirdly,safety climate has positive moderation on the influence that supportive supervisory style had on error handing and error thinking,which means with the improvement of safety climate,the influence that supportive supervisory style had on the ability of error handing and error thinking will be more significant;while safety climate has negative moderation on the influence that controlling supervisory style had on error handing and positive moderation on error covering,which means with the improvement of safety climate,the influence that controlling supervisory style had on the ability of error handing will be weakened,while the ability of error covering will be strengthened.The innovation point of the thesis is to build the model of supervisory style of civil airports,safety climate and staff error orientation,and proposes some new direction of safety management such as to set up safety supervision idea of strengthening therisk evaluation system of airports and to build fault-tolerant mechanisms,etc.
