An important task in the construction planning is the layout of the facilities in the site. However, because of its complexity, construction site layout is often overlooked. In actual projects, project managers often plan site layouts on the construction site according to their experience, thereby reducing the overall efficiency of the construction and indirectly increasing the construction costs and negatively affecting the construction projects.Over the past few decades, there have been many studies devoted to the development of automated dynamic layout models for construction sites. However, the construction site layout model developed by scholars still has various limitations and drawbacks, such as a single goal,a combination with conventional facilities and site areas,a two-dimensional site layout representation, and an inefficient method of reflecting the dynamics of construction sites.Ignoring space reuse and facility relocation, equal area space search, and static rather than dynamic layout, all kinds of defects lead to the development of an optimization model that does not cover the needs of end users. This shows that it is necessary to develop a new construction project facility layout optimization model to make up for the limitations and shortcomings of the existing model, improve the efficiency of the construction site layout, save the cost of the facility layout, and ultimately meet the user's requirements.Because the multi-objective optimization genetic algorithm can not only achieve Pareto optimality, but also can take into account the inconsistent goals of the minimum cost of moving the facilities at the construction site and the maximum safety factor at the construction site,it is often used to optimize the layout of the construction site.Over the years, there have been several optimization algorithms for multi-objective optimization genetic algorithms.Among them, the non-dominating layering method adopted by NSGA can make good individuals have a greater chance of inheriting to the next generation;the fitness sharing strategy is It makes the Pareto frontier individuals evenly distributed and maintains the diversity of the population. It not only overcomes the over-breeding of super individuals, but also prevents the premature convergence of the population, making the NSGA-II algorithm the best among multi-objective optimization genetic algorithms. One of the algorithms. Therefore, this study aims to optimize the layout of construction project facilities, using the multi-objective genetic algorithm as the optimization technology, and innovatively establish an optimization model based on the NSGA-II algorithm and implement it through MATLAB.The model established in this paper aims to optimize the location of facilities in different construction phases in order to minimize the total treatment costs of the facility and minimize the unsafe factors caused by the mutual influence between the facilities. In addition, the developed model considers three types of geometric constraints(border, overlap, reachability constraints)to represent site space availability and construction and safety requirements. Finally, this study uses a specific case to visualize the presented results of the facility's dynamic optimization placement model. After the results of the optimization model are obtained, the model in this paper is evaluated by comparing with the results of the traditional general layout. The effectiveness of the optimization model is verified. The dynamic layout of the construction site proposed in this paper overcomes the limitations and deficiencies in the current construction site layout and optimizes the overall efficiency of the existing site layout.
