A Preliminary Study On Interpretation Of Architectural Works In The Process Of Social Transformation

The main content of this article is to explore the changes in the interpretation of Chinese architecture from the 1980 s to the present.It explores changes in architectural concepts.The combing of the interpretation is the core and important content of this article.The author divides the interpretation into three levels: self-description,criticism and the mass discussion.It discusses the transition between the West and China in the past and today's situation,and compares them..Based on this,the author hopes to sort out the interpretation and come up with the evolution of Chinese architectural concepts.After a certain amount of research on the interpretation,the author conducted a certain analysis of how interpretation is affected by social transformation.First,four groups of cases were taken.On this basis,the relationship between architectural concepts and building production was analyzed.The author cuts into this discussion from three directions.The first perspective is the discussion of architectural relations between China and the West.It describes the evolution of Western architecture and western styles in China since the reform and opening up to the outside world.The second perspective is the discussion of the relationship between the national and local governments and describes the changes in the competitive relationship.The rise of regionalism;the third perspective is the difference between goods and works,describing the use of symbols in real estate advertising and commercial buildings.After such a brief review and discussion,the author believes that the conflict of architectural ideas mainly occurs in the conflict of three values,namely,the use value,exchange value and symbol value of architecture.Before the reform and opening up,construction had only the use of value,which caused the building to attach itself to the development and construction of the country,and the political trend.Building was only a screw in the socialist construction.After the reform and opening up,the building gradually gained exchange value.The value of real estate has gradually occupied the dominant position of use value.Under the joint action of the consumer society and the Internet era,the symbolic value of architecture has begun to surface,and the symbolic value and meaning of image symbols have hit into everyday life.In the environment,it has profoundly influenced and changed cities,buildings and their designs.There are three conclusions in the article.The first is through such discussions on the interpretation of “discourse”,summing up which concepts can be continued in social development and which are dying.In this way,it is inferred how the architectural concept has changed in the process of social transformation.At the same time,it tries to get the correspondence and development of architectural interpretation and concept,and links it with social transformation.Second,the author tries to find out how the evolution of architecture and construction media has influenced the interpretation of architecture and the change of ideas.Third,the author hopes to use this article to make a judgment and draw an architectural interpretation : how self-description,criticism and the mass discussion impact on architectural creation.
