The rapid development of production technology and the increasingly fierce market competition make the product upgrade speed,the number of scrap products also rise sharply,which brings serious environmental pollution and waste of resources.Facing the shortage of resources and the pressure of environmental problems,the manufacturing industry with high energy consumption and high emissions is facing the severe test of sustainable development.With the enhancement of people’s environmental awareness and the enactment of relevant laws and regulations,the manufacturing industry began to pay attention to the recycling of products to reduce the environmental pollution of end-of-life products.However,the end treatment method for End-of-life products has not fundamentally solved the environmental problems due to the product design,as a result,people are beginning to realize the importance of product design for product recycling.Design for recycling,the design method which takes into account the product recycling performance at the design stage is being developed gradually.Design for recycling is also considered to be a fundamental and effective way to the environmental problems which are brought about by the current End-of-life products,one of the important aspects of the study is the evaluation of the product recyclability.The recyclability evaluation is an important tool to measure the product’s recycling performance during the stage of product design,and it is also an important guarantee for the product design to optimize the product recycling performance and then realize the design for recycling.At present,there are many methods to evaluate the product recyclability,which are mainly based on the evaluation methods of economic and environmental impact.However,by collecting and analyzing the existing methods,it can be found that there are still some deficiencies in the current method of evaluating the product recyclability.Therefore,this paper makes a full analysis of the deficiencies of the current recyclability evaluation methods and mainly carries out the following research:(1)In view of the problem that economic factors and environmental factors are difficult to be unified in the assessment of recycling,after a detailed analysis of the economic factors and environmental impacts in the process of recycling,the paper puts forward the evaluation method of product recyclability based on exponential smoothing and realizes the effective unification of economic factors and environmental factors by transforming environmental impact into economic index to realize recyclability evaluation.(2)The benefits of scrap materials are an important part of the economic factors of recycling,and the price of scrap materials is the decisive factor of this part of the income,considering that in the design phase of the evaluation of the recyclability,due to the design phase to the recycling phase of a certain time interval,The price of scrap materials will change so as to have a significant impact on the recycling of materials and ultimately affect the results of the evaluation of recyclability,in order to solve this problem,this paper uses the exponential smoothing method to predict the price of scrap materials which affect the recyclability evaluation,so that the evaluation method is more suitable to the actual situation;(3)Taking into account the entire product phases involve economic and environmental factors that affect the recyclability of product.On the basis of the recyclability evaluation based on the exponential smoothing method,the economic and environmental impact of the whole life cycle of the product design is considered to realize product design-oriented recyclability evaluation and as a product design project evaluation method applied to the design scheme optimization,then,the application of the product design-oriented recycling evaluation is analyzed by a concrete example.(4)The difficulties of the evaluation method in practice and the further research contents are summarized.
