Research On Design Strategy Of Exterior Open Space In Traditional Campus Renovation & Expansion Of Chinese Universities

The exterior open space on campus carries many functions of daily study and life of teachers and students,which has important influence on the academic research and daily life of teachers and students.Chinese university in nearly one hundred years of construction,many traditional campus left a lot of beautiful exterior open space,such as Yanyuan campus of Beijing university,Luo JianShan campus of wuhan university,south campus of sun yat-sen university and so on.However,due to internal causes,such as the expansion of the scale of higher education,teaching and scientific research mode change,university departments merger,division of adjustment and campus,the extensive development of historical reasons,building gradually aging,as well as the external reasons,such as the change of university social functions,the urban development the city and campus fusion,etc.There are still some problems in the outdoor open space of traditional campus,such as land,planning structure,function,people's car transportation,campus style,and space openness.This paper from the above phenomenon and the demand of traditional Chinese college campus,combined with urban design,campus planning,historical building protection theory and the author follow teacher to participate in multiple campus reconstruction practice,in the reconstruction of the Chinese traditional campus outdoor open space design in-depth study.In the paper,the author studied more than 70 Chinese and more than 50 foreign traditional campus reconstruction design case,and from the city and campus,architecture,landscape multiple dimensions of analysis,through the theoretical research,case analysis and data statistics and other scientific research methods,for the reconstruction of traditional campus in colleges and universities,explore the inherent law of campus outdoor open space design,system design steps and strategies are put forward.Then the following three parts are studied: 1.(chapter 1?2),found the problem,based on the research of the related theory at home and abroad and the development of the campus,combining with specific case analysis and data statistics,summarized the present problems existing in the traditional Chinese universities campus outdoor open space,demand and development trend of the future2.(Chapter 3?5): analysis of the problems,through the analysis of the early,make traditional Chinese universities campus outdoor open space design principles and design target,and combined with goal setting from two perspectives of planning as a whole and Spaces expand system,this paper put forward concrete applicable design strategies and methods.3.(chapter 6): solve the problem,in the first five chapter,on the basis of research from the perspective of the overall reconstruction carries on the summary and the integrated design strategy,attempts to put forward detailed design steps and the reconstruction and the design of the system policy framework,and combining the personal practice project,further explore strategies used in practice.This paper analyzes the present situation of traditional campus outdoor open space at home and abroad,the evolution and reconstruction method,and at the present stage in China the status quo of traditional campus outdoor open space reconstruction,needs,and the summary of the problems existed in the system,puts forward a set of feasible system design steps and strategy,in order to research for the future work and related design personnel to provide the reference and help.
