The Study Of The Urban Planning And Design Of The Open Campus

Today,our high education has developed into a new development stage. Although more and more manpower and finance have been put into it,the result is not satisfying.The core function of the contemporary campus has been changed into the intellective and economical complexes from the original institute which is good at the academic research and broad-based education.That is to say,the role of the contemporary campus is the economical growth pole,not the knowledge incubator any more and it is turning into the polyphyletic and opening society complex.And the new developing characters are turning out as the adjustment and perfection of the campus space which is usually is considered to the vessel and the stage of the complex.After analyzing many cases of foreign famous universities,the obvious character is the openness.It contains the comprisal power and the creativeness. The aim of the openness is found to be not only to make the resources be used by the campus and the society,but also more connotations should be included. So,the article discuses the definition of the open campus.Then,with the perspective of the urban design and the environmental behavior,the character of the land-use model,the road traffic system,the open system and the sign & guide system are concluded after analysis and models are also be constructed in order to be better used in the future of our campus planning.At last,the difference between the demostic campus and the foreign campus is done to make us realize the reality of our campus planning.
