With the development of smart distribution networks,various new technologies are widely used in distribution networks.New technologies often require verification before they are applied to distribution networks.Therefore,a real-time simulation system of smart sistribution grid is developed to test the new technology.RTDS is a real-time simulation tool for power systems,which is widely used at home and abroad.Power companies usually use CIM models to standardize complex power systems.the CIM and RTDS models are compared and analyzed,and the key technologies from the CIM distribution network model to the RTDS simulation model are described.Two methods of generating coordinate position are proposed in the process of topology transformation.One is based on the spanning tree,and the other is based on the the minimum independent closed loop.And two evaluated indicators,the connection branch ratio and dispersion,are proposed to select the suitable method for model topology conversion.The Graphic Conversion Software is developed and the effectiveness of the software is verification by some examples.The smart distribution network often contains a large number of distribution terminals.A virtual distribution terminal technology is designed based on the analysis of the function of the distribution terminal.In the structural design process of the virtual distribution terminal system,a topology analysis technology based on CIM is proposed to solve the problem of internal and external data association,the using of virtual switching technology is proposed to solve the problem of data exchange when numerous virtual terminals sharing one network port.The Virtual Distribution Terminal System is developed to realize the simulation of multiple distribution terminals at the same time.In order to develop and test the power distribution terminal,a real-time simulation method of intelligent distribution network is proposed,which combines virtual equipments and actual equipments.A real-time simulation system of intelligent distribution network is designed,which is constituted by RTDS,the Graphic Conversion Software,the Virtual Distribution Terminal System,real distribution terminals,the Power Amplifier,the Master Station and communication equipments.Finally,a test experiment was carried out to verify the effectiveness of the smart distribution network real-time simulation system.
