Study On Spatial Integration Of Industrial Heritage And Historical Urban Sites

With the development of society,some old industries that are not adapted to the current structure of productive forces have begun to transform or disappear,resulting in vacancies of these industrial factories.These old industrial factories have been surrounded by the city gradually because of Urbanization.In addition,moving factories out of the city is the main strategy to solve the conflicts between industrial transportation and urban space.Therefore,more and more industrial sites with historical and cultural values have been left in the city which leads to the emergence of industrial heritage sites.There are many difficulties in the reconstruction of industrial heritage sites.First of all,the accessibility of transportation has to be changed.Secondly,a large area of industrial heritage is not conducive to the formation of a hierarchical road network in modern urban transportation.In addition,the living space of industrial heritage become a negative part of the city.This design takes the joint area between the Nanjing Porcelain Tower Heritage Park and 1865 Creative Industry Park as the scope.The design will be done in this scope,the scope of the study is expanded to the enclosure area of Qinhuai River,Yuhua Road,Jiangning Road and Yingtian Street.The study is divided into three scales,and the design will adjust the traffic,public space nodes,and business formats.The first scale take the southern part of Nanjing's old city as the scope.Under this scale,it mainly studies the process of functional transformation that 1865 Creative Industry Park changed from arsenal manufacturing to aerospace manufacturing,and converted into creative industrial park.It is study the accessibility of south nanjing to the regionThe second scale takes the enclosure area from ningwu railway to zhonghua gate as the scope.Under this scale,it mainly studies how the internal roads of 1865 Creative Industry Park integrate with the urban roads to form a complete road network,so as to alleviate the traffic pressure in the city and optimize the traffic accessibility of the creative industrial park.The third scale takes the joint area between the Nanjing Porcelain Tower Heritage Park and 1865 Creative Industry Park as the scope.In this scale,the position of the scope is mainly studied,and then it is designed to solve the problems caused by the renovation of 1865 Creative Industry Park.The design will also adjust the range of commercial formats and architectural forms in the scope.
