National Medium-and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Program(2010-2020)proposes to pay attention to the different characteristics and individual differences of students,develop the potential of each student,and promote the teaching management of stratified teaching,Class selection system,credit system,and tutor system.Standards for Running Schools in Beijing Primary and Secondary Schools have also added the design content of the Class selection system in 2018,which put new demands on the design of middle school buildings.However,many schools now encounter real problems in the process of promoting the Class selection system.Due to the lack of standards and references in the design and renovation processes,architects often have a dilemma.Therefore,to make constructive comments on the teaching space of Class selection system middle school,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the sample model school of the Class selection system.Beijing National Day School can be a model school for comprehensive implementation of tiered walking teaching in China.Its teaching reform process and principles can provide reference to other middle schools that are trying to reform.At the same time,it can also provide ideas and techniques for architects to participate in middle school design and transformation.Therefore,this thesis attempts to compare and summarize the spatial allocation and design principles of teaching space for class selection middle schools.In the theoretical research part,the thesis first explained the concept of the Class selection system,the characteristics of the teaching space under its influence,and the theoretical support behind it.Secondly,it sums up the reasons for the rise of the class selection system,the inevitability of promotion and the current situation of education reform.The analysis part focused on the transformation process and the changes in the teaching space of Beijing National Day School.At the data level,the task book is used as a starting point to comprehensively analyze the subject classroom indicators just like the type,distribution,quantity,area,and class volume.At the spatial level,the school's planning layout,the contradiction in the use of existing teaching space,and the highlights of public space design are analyzed.The thesis uses the method of comparative analysis to explore the principle of teaching space allocation in Class selection system middle school.
